To Profile Possession

For the purpose of exorcism or the blessing of a home or land to rid it of unclean spirits, it is important to know exactly what you are dealing with before hand, where it came from, and how it came to be in the geographical perception of where it is now. To do that, you would start with the who? Below, I have outlined some different types of summoner or spiritualist in correlation to how or what they would summon. The first being, Primo-scriptural.    Primo-scriptural : primo-scriptural is a compounding of the words “primordial” and “scriptural.” This type of summoner would be someone with a basic education and an inherent ability to be charismatic. Their education of the spiritual would be most likely limited to Bible scripture therefore, the demons they would summon or spirits they would call upon would be the ones they were familiar with from the Bible. They’re methods would be the same as those from the Bible as well. A crude alter and, or a perversion of rites in...

The Quality of Angels

For the most part what we know as angel lore comes long after the canonization of the Hebrew Bible as well as the canonization of the Christian New testament. Angel lore for the most part comes from the conjecture of apocryphal literature as is, the further development of doctrine split into many factions of belief within the belief structure itself and in, for the most part, a monotheistic structure. Angelology is the study of this conjecture in a theological manner branched of in theology itself. The word “angel” is an English word derived from the old English word “engal" as well as old French “angele" which comes from late Latin “angelus” which in turn is translated from the late Greek “angelos.” Angelos is the Greek rendering of the Hebrew word mal'akh which means “messenger.” In the Septuagint, when the word messenger applies to a human, its replaced with words like “nuntius" or “legatus" but, when it is a reference to an angel the word angelos a...

Enoch

And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:  And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:  And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:  And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. Genesis 5:21‭-‬24 KJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ Which was the son of Methuselah, which was the son of Enoch, which was the son of Jared, which was the son of Maleleel, which was the son of Cainan,  Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God. Luke 3:37‭-‬38 KJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. Hebrews 11:5 KJV And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,  To execute judgment upon all, and to convinc...

The Full Armor of God

Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:11‭-‬13 KJV‬‬‬   Principalities is roughly defined as a political state of empirical status that is ruled provincial by a council of prince’s.  The Persian empire would have been an example of this as well as the Assyrian empire among many others.  Paul states that we do not wrestle against flesh and bone but against Principalities. These Principalities are the rulers of the darkness in this world, the powers, and their ways are the spiritual wickedness in high places. A key word there being that they are not flesh and bone. They are spirits, and demon...

Babylon

The rise of Babylonia In it’s over two thousand year history it is cited as ranging from a small town to a flourishing metropolis at the center of an empire or, as rubble. At one point in history it is mentioned as a mere blip by being known as a quarry. Pretty much, people would go there to collect rocks from the rubble to build there own abodes only knowing its name and nothing of its former glory. Babylonia’s first rise to glory was under king Hammurabi who instituted the first set of laws historically. This first incarnation of the Babylonian empire was short lived and declined under the rule of his son. Afterward there was a seemingly endless string of conflicts for  control of the city as it was passed back and forth through the hands of different rulers and ruling tribes. some being nomadic,  some being parts of larger kingdoms till it came under rule of the Assyrian empire as a province.  In a period of decline for the Assyrian empire, around 626 BC,  Nabopol...

The Pharisees and the Sadducees

Matthew 23:23 “Woe to you, teachers if the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices- mint, dill and cumin. But you reject the more important matters of the law- justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without rejecting the former.” Matthew 23:15 “ Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much the child of hell as you are.” Acts 22: 8 “For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, nor angel, not spirit: but the Pharisees confess both.” Matthew 21: 12 – 17 12 Then Jesus entered the temple and drove out all who were selling and buying in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. 13 He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer’;     but you are making it a den of robbers.” 14 The blind and the lame came to ...

The One True God

1 Timothy 2:5 “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;”  Isaiah 44:6 “Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I amthe last; and beside me there is no God.”  King James Version (KJV) Isaiah 43:11 “I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.”  1 Corinthians 8:6 “But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.”  Deuteronomy 6:4 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:”  James 2:19 “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”  Isaiah 43:10 “Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.”  Revelation 1:8 “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning...

The Molok

• Leviticus 18:21 "And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD." • Leviticus 20:2: "Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones." • Leviticus 20:3: "And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name." • Leviticus 20:4: "And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not" • Leviticus 20:5: "Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom w...

The Inclinitative Death

“Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death" says David in Psalms 23. I imagine David wrote this while on the run from Saul, a man who would have taken his life and a man whose life he wouldn’t take out of respect for his crown. One bent in destruction, one guided by righteousness.  I heard a preacher preach once about David and he said that when David’s mighty men were asked what David was like. They would assume he was bold, brave, charismatic. The mighty men's response would be that he cries a lot.  The bible describes Saul, however, as having an evil spirit of the lord come over him. This condition was most commonly brought on in the presence of David. I imagine Sigmund Freud would say that Saul’s Desire for life was broken giving way to a death drive that was fixed in jealousy toward David which would lead him to his death spiritually long before his life was gone. God had moved away from him in favor of David, and left there in his abandon his mind unrav...

Helio

Lo the sun, in my sight line, rising above the meridian yellow and gold, bright and warm searing.  Lo the sun, behold the light, above and below engulfing. Round and around trolling and plowing in the earth and changing.  Lo the sun, disc of fire, in wake of learing shadow, passing over and beyond, up above from below and gone.

The Intimate Death

In Lloyd Chandler's folk song “conversations with death" later made popular by various artists and most popular by blue grass recording artist Ralph Stanley, death is once again given depiction entitatively as a spiritual being born of Appalachian bible belt southern folklore.  “ I’ll fix your feet till you can’t walk” says death to its unfortunate victim in the song. I’ve heard it said of the old timers how people talked about their legs going cold giving them indication that they were were dying. This feeling of icy cold associated with the touch of a spirit whose one purpose in existence is to rend spirit from flesh, knowing no barter other than the coin passed or prayer spoken for mercy in itself becomes the spirit if mercy in distant whispers that quiet pain with cold numbness. This spirit calls the soul away locking bone and muscle in place like a door forced closed till there is nowhere to go but out. These days, however, outside of sudden tragedy, we die differently, f...

The Moon

I once had a dream where I dreamt that everyone loved something and, I loved the moon. In my dream I perceived it as a woman both elegant and round, filled with blessings , bright and silver shining on me in what comfort would feel like upon my soul. It washed over me, this light filled with love and blessings returned for favor like a mother’s smile to her child when that child has evoked her grace. In Kabbalah and much Jewish folklore, the Shekinah is represented by the moon. She is the supernal mother birthing her blessings on the people when she is full and watching over them in the night. Without doubt, I am fond of the moon. When I see it in the sky and feel it’s light wash over me it’s like the very presence of God touching my soul. Salutation Pending Johnny R Draper

Self....Encountered

If I look in the mirror I see what my eyes see and share with the vision of my soul. To look upon others who would look upon me would be to see what their eyes share with their soul about me. If I look in the mirror of another’s soul what will I see? If I see myself in dream, in future, a fast forward reality where I know this person from mirrored experiences that I may know the person to come and, if I sleep no more than dream allows then I will sleep within that memory and cannot out run it. With the moon behind me, on hands and knees, before me, gazing into a trickling stream where light shines brightest in the darkness. The reflection cast is moving and I watch till like wet paint, it blurs and is carried away. I walk the banks as a shadow without contour, without form, within transparency separated body from soul allowing my mind to linger without thought till my shadow falls behind and I am just an outline of left over light. I open the book of nowhere and read the verse of nothi...

The Archetypal Death

The many forms of death throughout history are figurative depictions usually of some humanoid type being represented artfully in the crafts performed by death. In the tarot, death is represented by a skeleton shrouded figure sometimes cloaked yielding a scythe for he is the reaper of souls, hence the common name “Grimm Reaper.” In Voodoo this figure is known as Baron Semedi, a skeletal figure wearing a suit with long coat tails and a top hat. It is only he who can accept souls into the land of the dead. I personally find this version of the figurative death to be quite classy. There is also, of course, the ferryman in Greek mythology going by the name Charon. Again, the image is of the classic cloaked and shrouded skeletal figure trading in his scythe for an oar. Pass the ferryman a coin and he will take you across the river Styx to the land of the dead. If the fee could not be paid, then the soul was left do wonder the shores for one hundred years. I don’t know if I have mentioned thi...

Trial By Fire

A “trial by fire" is an idiom defined as a test of one’s ability to perform under pressure but, that singular definition alone would be contrary to the definition of idiom for allusions have a tendency to have multiple meanings as it applies to different situations. It is a test of determination and skill mastery or, the ability to master a skill within itself. The weak burn in the flames while the strong become one with them. I have found that fire in dreams is the intensity of the emotional experience in the dream itself. It’s part of the truth that our unconscious is revealing. It is forewarning, so that we might find balance. The Phoenix, as the righteous man in proverbs that may fall many times only to rise again, is eternally reborn from its ashes. So in this sense,  the failing of a trial by fire is simply an opportunity to be reborn. A chance to grow and evolve.  Salutation Pending  Johnny R Draper

The Row of Skulls

In the early days of my esoteric studies I fell into a short dream state that was probably not as long as, and definitely no longer than the REM cycle that took place. In this dream state I was standing in a white expanse beside of an infinite row of skulls that stretched beyond all meridians.    The top of the skulls had been removed and their cavities stuffed with thick pads of sticky notes all of which were filled with writing, and I knew that I had to read them all. They represented the prophets and philosophers of old and their brains to pick, in writing, for an eternity to come. I grew instantly disgusted and overwhelmed that I was faced with an infinity of knowledge and one life time to gain the wisdom and understanding that I sought. I awoke almost instantly feeling instant regret with myself for my impatience. I rebuked myself promptly and attempted to go back into the dream scene but was unable too because going back was not the point. The point was an awareness...
